Jim Corbett National Park is one of the India’s oldest National Park, which is rich in verity of flora and fauna situated in the state of Uttarakhand. It was established by a great British hunter James Edward Corbett in 1936. Corbett is called a Paradise of Tigers and known as the Tiger Reserve spot. Thousands of the tourist from all around the world visit every year. It is spread in 520sq km in area and ideal destination for Photographers and Animal lovers. It is a picture Perfect location and home of 600 species of Birds and 500 different plants and trees are found here. Corbett is also being an honoured where the project Tiger was launched first in 1973. It is the home of the many majestic animals like “Royal Bengal Tiger”, Asiatic Elephant, Reptiles, different birds etc. It is located in the foothill of the Himalayan along with bank of Yamuna River. You can enjoy the park with the help of Jeep safari and an elephant safari. It is divided into seven different parts like – Tourists Zone, Bijrani Zone, Jhirna Zone, Dhela Zone, Dhikaka Zone, Durga Devi Zone, Sitabani Zone.

Dhikala Zone: It is one of the finest zones for Bird watchers and the best place to spot very rare Hog Deer. It is also known as the tourist accommodation spot.
Bijrani Zone: It is very popular tourist hub because of its natural beauty and open grassland, known for its rich floral and faunal species.
Jhirna Zone: Jhirna Zone is open throughout the year, sloth bear and elephants are one of the major attractions of Jim Corbett National Park.
Sonanadi Zone: Inside the Sanctuary you will find the remarkable dense sal and rich Bamboo and also spot elephants.
Durga Devi Zone: Durga Zone is famous for wild Elephants and has famous Mahsheer fish in the River of Durga Devi Zone. It is also rich in flora and fauna and takes a jeep safari to enjoy the zone.

Dhela Zone: Dhela Zone is extremely rich in flora and fauna where you can find mixed Forests of Sal, Rohini, Haldu, Bahera, Kusum and Tiger, Leopard, Elephants, Sloth bears and king Cobra.

Corbett Landscape Ecotourism zone: It is the hardest forest zone. It is believed that this is the place where Goddess Sati wife of Lord Rama Spend some time during her exile.

Best Time to visit:
The best to visit Bijarani and Dikhala Zone is from Mid October to till 15th November. The other zone of the Corbett is opened throughout the year. Summers are quite hot here with the temperature of 42 degree to 4 degree. But also the best time to visit is 15th November to 15th June.
